Run for the Ranch was this past weekend and many of your team participated. Reported results below. Also, from the running section- more folks into the Dreadmill challenge.

Updates; 

Looking to the coming year, please consider signing up for a night or two at SBC's Community Bike Shop at The Fairbanks. Monday Mechanic's Night, where we get 'em ready to roll- sign up here. And Wednesday Wednesday Open to the Public, where we match people up to bikes. This is a very rewarding experience, and you can also learn how to wrench on a bikes a little. No experience necessary. 

There are free samples of AMP PR lotion are available for pickup at SGB until they're gone, courtesy of local legend Brad Huff. 

Christmas is nearly here. I hope you have all of your shopping done. If not, get after it!

Another big week for SBC runners. Several put in some big miles at the Back Forty for All trail race. Great job gang. 

 Word is the SBC 22nd Anniversary was a rousing success. Many SBC Athletes showed up throughout the day to celebrate this milestone. SBC has been a cornerstone of the downtown Springfield renaissance since its beginning. 

Keaton Garrett is working hard putting together a race series in Ozark. He has provided a discount code for SBC Athletes. If you use the code SBCFAM, you'll receive $5 off at the Finley River Night Light 5k , and $10 off an entry in the Adult Tri only at the Finley River 5 and Tri . Sign up early and save even more money.

Take a look at the results below. There were lots of runs over the week and weekend. They varied from one mile to 108 and just about everything in between. Great week from SBC runners, with wins, podiums, PRs and epic goals.

Updates; 

I trust everyone got their fill of Thanksgiving dinner, football and family. Several teammates participated in Thanksgiving day Turkey Trot events. These Thanksgiving runs have really taken off as a tradition in lots of cities. The Springfield Turkey Trot celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. Several thousand people participate in this holiday tradition. 

A handful of teammates and associates participated in another post Thanksgiving tradition by riding the Jasper Disaster cycling course in Harrison, AR on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

I expect a lot of people are thinking of the next big holiday and into the coming year as they plan their event calendar and assemble their list of goals. Lots to unpack. A group of us met Saturday at the Mother Ship to discuss the coming year for  SBC Athletics. Expect some cool stuff next season. Perhaps you've seen some of the events announced already on social media. A Beer Mile series, and a TT series are already out there. Winter Lecture series is back this year and will replace the "Rest Day" interviews. Some changes in personnel, and some folks staying on in current positions.

In Fairbanks Bike Shop news, we're looking for a Wednesday night shop manager. Jason Stratton has taken over general management of the shop and additionally will oversee Monday mechanics night. Wednesday is largely about helping people obtain bikes. Bike Shop season will begin again in April 2020, so give it some thought. The bike shop can be a very rewarding experience. No mechanical skill is required.

Be aware- Mug Club 2020 Renewal is 11/1- 12/5/2019

  • Rachel Baker completed her 10th Dogwood 50k, winning an AG 2nd place in the process
  • SBC Soccer won 8-1 last night and sits on top of the league with a 4-0 record
