Weekly Update 3/23/2020

Celebrating athletic achievements that better ourselves, our teammates, and our community.

 Not much this week folks. A couple of items from the Director;

Missouri - Stay Home, if there is anyway for you to. Maintain social distance, even when training outside.  We, the people, have to decide to do it.  Don’t wait for a politician to tell you.  #justdoit #flattenthecurve

Message from the Mothership;

For 22 years our staff have hosted your friends, family, and colleagues. Supporting local is at the heart of everything that we do. Although we must temporarily close our doors, our staff must continue with their daily lives in such a distressing time. Our staff is also our family. They have served your mugs and pints, prepared your brunch and dinner, and helped plan your life’s biggest milestone celebrations.
People have been asking, “How can we help?” We are excited to collaborate with an amazing local screen printer, The Crackerjack Shack, to release our new limited edition SBC logo shirts: Love Beer. Love Each Other. 100% of all profit from this shirt goes directly to our out-of-work staff who are eager to get back to serving you again. The online store will only be open until 3/30. $25 for one of these tees, and if you feel like it, add a tip too! Ordering is simple and shipping is FREE! Click the link below. We have several shirt colors to choose from and even a ladies cut too! Our staff can not thank you enough for your continued support. ❤️

Weekly Update 3/16/2020

Celebrating athletic achievements that better ourselves, our teammates, and our community.

 Events getting canceled left and right in the wake of the Coronavirus scare. Local favorite Shamrox Run was not held. Many of our team were planning on racing gravel (mud) in Stillwater, OK at the MidSouth Gravel 100, 50k and Double. That event was up to the day before deciding whether or not it would be a go. MidSouth organizers elected to hold the event as scheduled and took the magnanimous step of offering deferments for next year to those who elected to remain at home. With the predicted weather, I'm sure this made the decision to stay home a no-brainer.  With that, the team had several who still participated. This year that event lived up to its reputation of epic difficulty. The last in our Winter Lecture Series was held last week. Thanks to our panelists for sharing their wisdom and experience.

Weekly Update 3/2/2020

Celebrating athletic achievements that better ourselves, our teammates, and our community.

Plenty going on in the life of the team. Kimi Reed represented well in the Olympic Trials. 62nd in a world class field of over 400 finishers, great job Kimi. There's going to be a Meet and Congrats Happy Hour. Details in the link.

The Paul Hardin Memorial 200k was very well attended, especially for a very cold start to the ride. The majority of the riders went the full distance. Super long rides are never uneventful. One of our own had a blowout and went down with scrapes and bruises. We raised around $600 for the Fairbanks Bike Shop. Here's a very cool and reflective video from the Director Sportif- Paul Harding Memorial Ride .

We had a lot of runners out seeking podium spots and PRs. Details below in Results
