Weekly Update 03/26/2019

Celebrating athletic achievements that better ourselves, our teammates, and our community.

The clocks have sprung forward and the days are warming up. I'm pretty sure everyone has recovered for the first big weekend after winter's final wheeze. This past weekend several competed in some stage racing at the Tour of St. Louis. New kits are in and they look great. Bicycle Outlet has SBC Cycling kits and running gear in stock if you missed out on the team order. We'll announce when the Hincapie store will open again.

Weekly Update 03/12/20219

Celebrating athletic achievements that better ourselves, our teammates, and our community.

Events over the weekend were bittersweet. The last word I got is that the fundraiser to benefit the Hardin family college fund raised over $7400 between those who attended and through the GoFundMe site. Several showed up and rode their trainers while it poured outside during a viewing of Paris-Roubaix from 2018. A handful waited out the thunderstorms and braved the high winds for a road ride. This week leads into a couple of cycling events. LandRun 100, and several SBC riders are involved. Also, this coming Sunday is the Frozen Waffle Road Race at Fellows lake (Links below). Jeff Wehling busted out #46 sub 4 marathon in Hawaii Sunday. Great job Jeff! 4 more to go.

We'd also like to thank all the volunteers who helped with the Paul Hardin Memorial ride. There were many volunteers throughout the day including registration, set up and tear down, t-shirt sales, art work signing, leadouts, sweepers, and several behind the scenes people. Paul would have been proud.  An extra special thanks to Springfield Brewing Company and Missouri Spirits for hosting.

Weekly Update 03/05/20219

Celebrating athletic achievements that better ourselves, our teammates, and our community.

So much happened over the past week and weekend. We mourn the passing of our friend and teammate Paul Hardin and look forward to the upcoming charity ride/run in his name this coming Saturday. Land Run 100 is coming up in a couple of weeks and it looks like there are a bunch of SBC riders heading to this event. Amanda Tolliver won the Female overall with a PR at the Cupid 5k Saturday. Get your free pint this week everyone! Brian Ussery also laid down a PR with a division win and 3rd overall. Erin Dolan Edminster made the podium at the Draft Legal Challenge in Clermont FL. Congratulations to Rachel Baker for crushing it in her 16th marathon at Little Rock. Brian Barr traveled to where the weather was more agreeable to race the Southern Cross gravel race in Dahlonega, GA. Here's to the time change and warmer weather on its way.
