Weekly Update 04/02/2019
Celebrating athletic achievements that better ourselves, our teammates, and our community.
The Fairbanks Bike Shop opens this week and their are lots of great opportunities for volunteering. Just a reminder that the Evans Rd overpass is going to be closed for a while. You will want to find alternate methods to get to some of your rides. Go Girl Run needs one more bike lead for the 5k on April 14. They will also sweep the course for the half marathon.
Congratulations to the SBC soccer team. They are league champ, 6-1-1 for the indoor season.
Erin Dolan Edminster won the overall women's division at the Bentonville half marathon with a blistering 6:40/mile pace and a finishing time of 1:19.

- Team reward this week. When an active SBC Athlete wins, every active SBC athlete wins. All active SBC athletics 2019 card carrying members get a free beer at SBC if presented between 5 pm Sun - 5 pm Friday. Thanks to the soccer team!

Update/Accounting on our @Paul Hardin Memorial Ride/Run Fundraiser.
Gofundme (after their fees) raised $5,403.31.
The Memorial Ride/Run/Silent-Auction raised $2,709 in cash.
So the total raised = $8,112.31. Great job, Springfield. Thanks for everyone's help throughout.
In other news - the Bob Collier art that all the participants signed will be going up at SBC together with that awesome metal pic of Paul in Colorado that Jason Stratton donated. Also – Hincapie Sportswear said they would refund the cost of Paul’s new SBC gear and Paul’s jersey will go up above the downstairs bar at SBC, on the post to the left hand side of the downstairs bar, as you are looking at it from the street. They are not up yet but will be soon.
Michelle and David Beaches daughter is making made to order SBC bracelets for $5 - profits go to the Fairbanks bike shop.
