The first cold snap of the year caught a few of us off guard, but Melissa Bland and her team were not caught flat footed when it came time to salvage a homegrown trail race when the initial event organizer pulled out. SBC Trailfest appeared to be a great success especially given that it was brought from the brink of cancellation and done so in a very short period of time. The days are getting shorter and a bit colder, but there are still plenty of opportunities to get out, race and train. Newsletter responsibilities are turning over, so make sure you send your results and news items (including events, races and training opportunities) to longjohnh@swbell.net
