The Covid-19 Social Distancing TT Series

This week's course Republic Course ~ 12 mi (~20km)
Park in the lot north of Republic Aquatic center at 711 E Miller Road, Republic, MO. The starting line is at the south exit of the traffic circle. The course will consist of 2 laps out-and-back to State Route ZZ on Terrell Valley Drive. This course has a U-shaped elevation profile and you will have to deal with some gradient! Note: there is not parking at the starting line or along the course. You must park at the Aquatic Center.

In lieu of any entry fee, we kindly ask that you donate $10, or whatever you feel appropriate, to a local cause of your choice supporting those affected by the Covid-19 crisis. We are all very fortunate to be able to participate in a virtual event in light of the current situation and it would be awesome if we could all channel our gratitude towards helping others. If a donation is tough right now, please just try to do something nice for someone instead. We will figure out how to hold a group celebration after the pandemic!!!
BOTH COURSES IN THIS SERIES ARE OPEN TO TRAFFIC AND WILL NOT BE MARSHALLED. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN AND WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS, SIGNS, RULES, AND GENERALLY BE GOOD CITIZENS AND AMBASSADORS OF CYCLING.

May 1 - 3  The Social-Distancing Compliant Everesting Weekend Challenge

Cabin Fever? Stir Crazy? We have the challenge just for you. It's the Social Distancing Compliant Everesting Weekend Challenge - to help the SBC  "Pint of Thanks!" campaign.
Checkout the Everest Challenge details here.
Pick a challenge: cycling, running, walking. Virtual or not. Solo or via remote-team relays - 29,092 feet of climbing.
For the fundraising part, get your friends and family to cheer you on (virtually) by contributing to the SBC "Pint of Thanks!" for Healthcare Workers Campaign.
So in short - pick a hill close to home and ride, run, or walk it until you have climbed Everest. (Relay team members should be remote/social distancing compliant - riding/running their own hills near their homes. Then add the feet you have climbed towards your team's Everest total.)
Team members who reach their goal will all get a "Pint of Thanks!" from SBC when we reopen. Individuals who complete the challenge will get their own Brewer's Choice case and a limited edition t-shirt (as long as you can prove you got folks to virtually support you by contributing to the "Pint of Thanks!" campaign too).
And to finish - when we are done - at 5pm CST on Sunday May 3rd - let's all raise  a glass to the Healthcare workers around the world.
