The Covid-19 Social Distancing TT Series
This week's course Republic Course ~ 12 mi (~20km)
Park in the lot north of Republic Aquatic center at 711 E Miller Road, Republic, MO. The starting line is at the south exit of the traffic circle. The course will consist of 2 laps out-and-back to State Route ZZ on Terrell Valley Drive. This course has a U-shaped elevation profile and you will have to deal with some gradient! Note: there is not parking at the starting line or along the course. You must park at the Aquatic Center.
The Rules:
- You can ride the segment anytime during the event window and as many times as you like but you may only submit ONE entry and it has to be ridden during the event window.
- This is an individual time trial. Must be a standing start, no lead outs, no teams, no drafting, no group riding, etc. Its all on the honor system folks so please play nice. You have to aboslutely observe all local, state, and federal rules regarding social distancing and do not participate in groups.
In lieu of any entry fee, we kindly ask that you donate $10, or whatever you feel appropriate, to a local cause of your choice supporting those affected by the Covid-19 crisis. We are all very fortunate to be able to participate in a virtual event in light of the current situation and it would be awesome if we could all channel our gratitude towards helping others. If a donation is tough right now, please just try to do something nice for someone instead. We will figure out how to hold a group celebration after the pandemic!!!
BOTH COURSES IN THIS SERIES ARE OPEN TO TRAFFIC AND WILL NOT BE MARSHALLED. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN AND WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS, SIGNS, RULES, AND GENERALLY BE GOOD CITIZENS AND AMBASSADORS OF CYCLING.
