Weekly Update 6/22/2020

Celebrating athletic achievements that better ourselves, our teammates, and our community.

If you're on social media, you've probably heard that the Drury Triathlon Team's bike room/shop fell victim to thieves last week. The thieves not only took bikes, but they also got many tools, helmets and the team bike rack. Keep an eye out for Orbea Orca bicycles outfitted with Shimano 105 and sporting the Drury colors of red, black and gray. As a result, the Unofficial Queen City Century will be a fundraiser to aid the team in replacing some of what was stolen from them. This will be a show and go, unsupported ride. Keep your groups at 25 or less. Multiple distances. More details on the Facebook Event page.

Opening night at the Fairbanks was a huge success. The new space is so much better for shoppers and mechanics alike. One thing we learned in this Covid-19 world is that we could use plenty of disposable masks. If you are looking to donate something, masks is something we could definitely use. Donations can be made through the week by dropping them off at Strong-Garner-Bauer offices at 415 East Chestnut. More info here; The SBC Bike Shop at the Fairbanks
